The Local Action Team (LAT) is made up of local residents, police and other service providers working in partnership to improve community safety, reduce anti-social behaviour, reduce fear of crime and improve people’s pride in their neighbourhood’s.
It is an opportunity for residents to raise issues that are of concern, for example road safety, anti-social behaviour, fly tipping or anything else that is affecting people’s quality of life on a daily basis. The main aim of the LAT is to create a space where local residents feel they can come and express anything they feel they need to.
Those attending on a regular basis are the PCSO’s (police community support officers), the Community Warden and the Community Development Worker. Officers from Brighton & Hove City Council are invited to attend on particular issues.
